Sydney Safety Training can provide qualified personnel to come to your site to carry out a confined space audit in accordance with AS/NZS 2865 – 2009 – 2.9.1
2.9.1 General Documentation should be established and maintained in a suitable medium, e.g. in print orelectronic form, to at least—(a) identify external (e.g. legal) and internal organizational requirements;(b) assign key roles and responsibilities;(c) identify the location of confined spaces in the workplace;(d) outline the system for hazard/risk assessments and risk control;(e) identify training and competency requirements;(f) set out confined space entry requirements (e.g. access authorities, entry permits and permits to work); (g) detail safe systems of work; (h) list inspection, calibration and maintenance activities on confined space safety equipment; (i) identify emergency response procedures; and (j) provide direction to related documentation. |
Our staff in company with your nominated staff member will inspect the entire facility, identify and photograph all potential confined spaces. Depending on the size of your facility, this process may take a couple of hours or a couple of days.
Once the initial inspection is completed, we will then create a “Confined Space Register” unique to your site. This register will include:
- Confined Space ID Photo
- Confined Space Number – you can dictate
- Confined Space Hazards
- Risk Ranking
- Confined Space Sign if required
The register will also include:
- WHS Act obligations
- How to determine a confined space
- Confined Space Definition
- Entry Requirements as per AS2865 – 2009
- Training Requirements
- Risk Assessing
During this process there will be ongoing consultation with your key people to ensure all detail meets your company protocols and procedures. Upon completion a draft copy will be forwarded for review by your staff. Once the review process is complete the final copy will be produced and supplied in a microsoft word format.
This document can then be updated as required in the future by you.
